A new season of Tweed Valley Triathletes club races begins on Saturday 23 September, with a slightly extended cycle leg set to shake up the Senior Open event.
A two-lap cycle course has been adopted for this summer, adding four more kilometres for a total of 14km of riding.
Competition will begin with qualifiers for the first two Saturdays, setting competitors’ initial handicaps for the season. Pointscore races will then start on 7 October.
Juniors races will also begin on the first Saturday of October, with many juniors keen to practise the skills they have learnt during TRYstars training.
The weekly club races are based at the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre Murwillumbah each Saturday, with Seniors and Intermediate racing held from 6am – slightly earlier for a handful of longer events. Tri-mites racing starts at 7.30am.
